Chair yoga

Using a chair for support is a wonderful way to practice yoga. Put to one side any preconceptions you might have about practicing yoga in this way – it is a beautiful practice for everyone not just those for whom a general yoga class might not be suitable for whatever reason.

These are Accessible Yoga classes and we do the same things that you would find in a mat based practice. We move, we breathe and we relax. We build strength and improve flexibility to help maintain our functional mobility i.e. to do normal day-to-day tasks which can become more challenging as we age or due to the impact of a health condition.

I enjoy the creativity of practicing yoga in this way. I also love the wonderful sense of community generated by those who attend these classes.

No previous experience of yoga is required. If you would like a chat to see if these classes are for you before you attend do get in touch.
